I am grieving the loss of my ptsd suffer. I recently wrote a 5 page letter to give her so I can get rid of any guilt and can say I got everything positive off my chest that I felt I needed to get off.

I'm sorry you are grieving but sometimes some things are just not meant to be. Writing a letter just to get rid of guilt is ok but I'd be inclined not to send it but to have a ceremony and burn it. If something is not to uplift someone suffering then probably best left undone. You have said your PTSD sufferer so I'm inclined to think this person is suffering the effects of PTSD.
