Hi and Frozen Orange Trick

Do you guys do the frozen orange for flash backs and freak outs?

I learned about it from a counselor when work was becoming near impossible to go to.

I hold it, smell it and scratch it when the anxiety is bad.

It's supposed to waken our "Lizard Brain."

Anyone Else?

Hmmm

Sounds like the perfect thing to do when meeting new people!

If that gecko was awake when we meet new people, maybe he would give us insight on them and keep an eye open for psychopaths!

Dang!

That's a great practice because it reconnects you to your senses in the present moment -- the direct opposite of what happens during a flashback.

I asked a group of survivors once their flashback remedies; we made a list. Take a look here for further ideas:

I play music all the time in my car and apt. It distracts me from my memories and thoughts. And emotions. here's four good ones. Thunder over Shasta Mountain. Shumman Resonance . Diane Ulicsni Stay calm Guided Imagery. And Charles Lamb downloads from Amazon.com. About PTSD. An Authentic Treatment for PTSD.

Hi, I use something similar to keep me grounded. Peppermint essential oil, you might want to try it as it is more convenient to carry around.
