Metastatic Bladder Cancer

My husband had total bladder removal in 2013 for T2bNO bladder cancer.  Now he has mets to lungs, liver and sacral area of spine.  Chemo did no good and he recently completed radiation to the bladder and spine.   Oncologist recommending clinical trial......What are we looking at as far as continued treatment?

Radiation to Liver not Bladder!

I'm on a Clinical Trial at Guys in London. It is time consuming and needs dedication but first Contrast CT scan showed 40% shrinkage right lung, left lung which chemo didn't touch and grew slightly some nodules stopped growing some shrunk 2 to 4 cm.

My Oncologist put my name down for this Trial and I was accepted.

Well worth considering. My attitude nothing ventured nothing gained.

Good luck

Kind of our attitude at this point.  Clinical trial is a 3 hour flight away, but again nothing ventured nothing gained.  Thanks!

My husband has been in pain for over three weeks longer but bad pain that long and they keep putting test on hold for some reason or other ! He can barely stand the pain now! And blood in urine is red now also started out being dark brown then light now red and now blood clots ! Crazy why they don't do anything what the hell !

It's called Immunotherapy. They power up your immune system to fight the cancer. Doctors are really excited with this treatment. Seems to be prolonging and even stop cancer in its tracks. All they say is that it's new and very promising
