DLA Tribunal Date

Got the DLA Tribunal date at the magistrates court on 31st May 2013. So nervous. Any tips? What can I expect ?

Best bet is to visit benefitsandwork.co.uk use the search facility to look up appeals etc. Make sure you send everythinh in before the due date!! Good luck x

Hi Ella I've been on one of these not with good outcome unfortunately. I don't know if there is someone going in with you, they are only allowed to speak at the end. There are about 4 people with the one I was at there was a doctor, a judge who took the minutes and a social services representative. They one by one asked me several questions about the condition affected me when I first applied they not interested how you are now. Not having a good memory I got all jumbled up. It would be good to take some notes with you.

Hi. I had my tribunal last Monday and was so nervous.I had a representative go with me but I answered all the questions.I must admit I broke down in tears when questioned about my "pee" problems.The doctor only asked me a few questions because she said I had sent in enough details about my illness; fibro,OA,ME,depression and CKD.The woman from the disabilities asked the most questions.eg;the help I needed during the day and through the night,how far I could walk etc. I think I was lucky to have three very nice women on my Tribunal.They more or less said that it should never have got to the Tribunal stage.I was awarded HRM and HRC.Best of Luck to you xx
