Saw GP yesterday and told him I wasnt really finding Amiltriptyline any use (been on it 40mg for about 10 months) and he has put me on Gabapentin (just 300mgs at night) to see if that helped. Time will tell if it is any use but I would be interested in other peoples views on it too.
Thanks for any feedback you can give

I have just been put on this med, I was put on pregablin a month ago and taken off amytripline, but it had no effect what so ever, so now I have been changed to this med but also been told to take the amytriptiline as well. So I have no idea as to how good it will be also referred to a pain clinic. I just hope I can get out of this fibro fog and flare.
I was Alston amitriptyline and it was doing nothing for me either I'm now on gabepentin 3x300mg daily and have felt so much better in myself and it has taken the edge of the pain xxx
Thank you all for your feedback. I have to be careful not to take too may drugs as I work fulltime so try and manage with as little as possible daily and use them to help me sleep at night.
I have been on 300mg 3 x a day and has really helped with the twitching muscles, jumpy legs, electric shock type pain and restless legs that drove me crazy before, dr tried Quinnine first but after a while it stopped working. Still have bad days & nights if I eat things I know will irritate my legs and other things like weather etc but much better than I used to be couldn't cope without it hope you get some relief with it xx
