I have been taking this for a while now, was given it initially for migraines but it improved the fibro pain and stiffness, unfortunately it has also caused weight gain which is not helpful. Good luck

Hi rollo

I do not take this drug, but I wanted to wish you all the best with it. I have pasted you the NHS Choices cache relating to gabapentin below:

Hi Rollo - I have recently been given this started with 3 X 100 per day and now on 2 X 300 per day, do not believe this is helping but have an appointment with the Rheumatologist later this month (providing it does not get cancelled) and although I have an excellent gp he tells me that the Rheumy will have access to much more successful drugs and will also probably run some more tests, I have fibro and this past six months I have suffered with swollen ankles and sore feet together with extra painful fingers ... however I hope that this drug will help you. Best wishes and gentle hugs

Sharon d . thank you so much for your reply.i haven't seen anyone else only my gp. the other two symptoms you describe, swollen ankles and painful feet I have had for about 9months now.i am wary of these tablets because of the weight gain some people get.. thanks again and I wish you all the best.xx

Hi there - yes, have had 3 trials of Gabapentin at least and...No..its been useless with any of the problems. Am now on Pregabalin which instantly relieved some of the distress.. and I do mean instantly...the minute I took the first tablet.
