Am feeling very sore today as yesterday i had the mammoth task of cleaning out my oven. You know it needs doing when there is more food on the lining of the oven than there is on the baking trays!
It took me all morning and im really feeling it today which got me thinking....Which household chore do you detest more than any other and why? xx

The other well ironing I fell out with it after I broke my neck that sounds dramatic I chipped an cracked two vertabrae when a garage door fell on my back never liked ironing since ! sO i AVOId it as much as xgins
Sorry to hear you're paying such a high price for your sparkly clean oven!
Personally, I hate cleaning them! Actually I don't really like any housework, although I like a clean and tidy home, I don't enjoy the process of making it like that! I always thought I would rather like to have a cleaner, so still hoping for a lottery win - lol! But of all the tasks, I think my least favourite is vacuuming the stairs! I'm hoping to move into a bungalow at some point, so that will solve that problem!
My OH says if i had a cleaner i would clean up before she gets here so she wouldnt think i was scruffy....and hes right!
I have to hoover the whole house every day as i have a very spoilt husky cross german shepherd doggy who thinks the whole house is her private bedroom and i also have 3 cats so i am obsessed with pet hair. I own 2 dysons and they are always on lol!
My family think i have ocd with cleaning and they may well be right but it doesnt stretch to the oven im afraid.....that is only done when the kitchen fills up with smoke and hurts your eyes when on! I always say after ive cleaned the oven "Right, im never ever going to let it get in that state again!" but i never stick to it xx
My daughter pops in and does my flat twice a week, and in return I cook evening meals for her and OH - and I keep both our ovens clean.
I like doing ovens, and clean them every week, so it's never too much of a job, and I don't have to bend as they are at eye level, but the thought of doing the floors is horrifying!
Personally, I think the best answer when your home gets dirty is to move house!
Hi Charlii I totally totally sympathise I struggled on with housework doing bits here and there until a few weeks ago then we looked at our finances and thought ok we don't drink drive or smoke .. Yeah we are VERY boring .... So we have had for the last two weeks a cleaner... She whizzes through our bunglaow in 2 hours and its such a weight off my mind and body... If I don't get my dla this time she will have to go but she does things I could never do.. Up on a stepladder cleaning the high bits down on the floor in the corners ... My son came in and said mum the house smells all fresh ..... Yes I felt awful when he said that ...please don't take this as bragging ...I have just had to admitt I can't do things and then it plays on my mind. Now I can use the time I felt guilty and frustrated to be on here or with my family, and think positively...
Though on second thoughts we could all wear moffy out doing cleaning for us and moffy while you clean I,ll find your teeth... I last saw them in your plumbers leg
I will come round and clean all your ovens - as long as you will all come round and do my hoovering!
Your cleaner sounds lovely, VG - it's difficult to find someone reliable.
I just about manage to clean my tiddly flat with my daughter's help, but I have to do it a bit at a time, and it would be so lovely to have the whole place done at once.
Am in A&E with the plumber - he needed ten stitches in his leg, but now my false teef have run away with his socks, and are causing havoc in the Operating theatre. I told you they have a life of their own!
i wish they'd come back, 'cos I want to eat my lunch - not that I fancy those naughty teef when they've been embedded in the plumber's sweaty socks!
