pain everywere
I,m afraid the answer is yes so many of us seem to be in more pain , a new pain or a full blown flare .... If the pain is unbearable or new I would advise seeing your GP I went to mine last Thursday and I am now trying a short course of steroids to reduce the pain as I can't tolerate anti inflammatories
Fingers crossed you feel better soon

Yes, that goes for me too I'm afraid Tofty! We tend to be more sensitive to temperature whether hot or cold with Fibromyalgia. Some people react more strongly than others and their symptoms can become worse with extremes in temperature. Speaking personally, I find the cold intolerable but manage well in the heat, but many of us here prefer cooler than warmer, we are all different even with Fibromyalgia.
Make sure you take your prescribed meds to try to keep your pain as well managed as you can Tofty. Keep warm, We are on the right side of Winter, hopefully we will have a lovely Spring, here's hoping.

I am having an awful time too. I got stuck in traffic on way home from work on Friday lunchtime and it took nearly 2 hours to do under 5 miles. I can't normally drive more than 20 to 30 mins max, so was in tears when I got home and in horrendous pain.
That coupled with weather has sent me into a flare. Today I have felt like I have no cushion between my spine and my bones are rubbing against each other. Also so so tired. Slept for 3.5 hours this afternoon.
Bless her my 11 year old looking after me, made sure I ate and had fluids and tablets. Slept again tonight, woke up in pain and am just waiting for oramorph to kick in.
At least I know I am not the only one. I feel so down as don't want time off again.
Hope we all improve soon

Libs, I'm the same as you! I am absolutely fine in warm/hot weather but the cold really gets to me. Almost like the illness is part time, most symptoms disappeared last summer when we went to Mallorca in temperatures of 30+.
This cold weather is certainly taking it's toll on most of us.
I am wondering whether to try a sauna, which some people say is very good - I certainly find a hot bath helps a lot, but saunas are so very hot I'm not sure I would like that.
Has anyone tried this?
