I did it!!!!!!!!! I have got a malteser cake in the fridge.... Only one small hiccup and that was cleverly diverted. I picked up the bowl to tip into lined tray and dropped it... Into the tray.... This malteser cake was obviously meant to be...... Wish I had a secret compartment in my fridge so It would be mine all mine, what will happen in reality is son and guitar mates and OH will all turn up together and devour it

Hey, go you! That sounds brilliant and so delicious! I want to taste it lol. What I used to do was I got a small individual fridge (wee cube ones) of freecycle/gumtree and put it in my room so when I had any naughty food that I didint want eaten on me, I hid it in there. Just a wee thought. Enjoy! x
I've just finished making it. I had to half the recipe as it's in ounces and everything in the shop is in grams and I didn't have enough chocolate ... grr
Anyway it's cooling in the fridge and I'm finishing off the bag of maltesers lol
Glad you are all enjoying the malteser cake Bad news -- it is such a "fave" in our house that I have to make it at least once a week!! Good news it is soooo easy to make that I can usually manage this!! xx
Ummm well mine set solid and I cut it into squares, it was very sweet but not sticky I,ve kept it in a tub in the fridge, my OH has already chomped on another piece.
on a slightly different subject, we keep chocolate in the fridge, think it tastes better cold. Once a bar is opened, it goes in no time, but my hubby & daughter don't like to be "the pig" who starts it.
Soooo I have a cunning plan with a box of malteasers! I don't take off the cellophane, but turn the box over & cut a little "door" in the cardboard. I then take six out & eat when everyone else is in bed. As the box doesn't look open, I can carry on like this until all gone, all mine!
Clever eh! totally devious, I've had several boxes to myself like this! Wicked!!!
