Does anyone else suffer with pain in the arms? For the last two days every tendon and muscle in my arms feel like they are screaming out at me. Painful to flex even the smallest amount.
I am feeling totally overwhelmed by it all at the moment

Hi i to hve suffered this for years,n the bk of neck n shoulders. I'm affraid its a very common part of this dreadful illness. Only rest n one day at a time,no magic cure. Rest is the only thing.Take care fee .
Hi debs yip have to say this is a regular symptom of my fibro. Some days my arms nd hands feel like lead and im unable to raise them above a certain height without intense pain, other times theyre numb and I loose power and grip and cannot carry things or open lids caps packets etc- very frustrating. Added to that I often also get burning or cramp like pain tingling or itching and swelling in the hand and arms - oh the joy. Hope you get some comfort from the fact that your not alone in your suffering and hopefully your pain eases soon.
Take care
Dixie x
Hello Debs, what you are describing is typical of Fibromyalgia. Our arms and legs can be affected by the same symptoms.
Have you mentioned these symptoms to your GP, you may be able to get relief from these symptoms or your current meds adjusting?
I hope you get some relief soon, take care. (((hug))) xxx
Hi lovelies, I am feeling pretty fed up at this new problem. I make cakes for people as a way to keep myself occupied, not really the best symptom to have started with, when at times I need to work sugar paste to cover cakes or to make decorations.
I would dearly love to be on a cocktail of meds that would drive the FM away altogether. I already take 10 before I go to bed each night and regularly need to top up on pain meds throughout the day. My doc doesn't want to put me on morphine patches as that is leaving no room to play so to speak. The thing that bothers me most is the tiredness, something which is getting worse as time goes by. I can quite easily fall asleep at anytime of day, yet when I go to bed at night I am lay there awake for most of the night.
Thanks for the replies
XxX

Hi, Debs. I have suffered with pain in my arms and hands for last couple of years. However today, it has hit a new HIGH! It feels like I have broken my upper arm! I have never been in this much pain with it. I am due to see specialist on Monday with regard to the Spondulosis in my neck, which he is convinced causes the pain and numbness in my hands and fingers. But don't know if this new pain is neck related or just extreme pain from Fibro. Can't think of anything different I have done to have caused it either. Get very similar day to day problems like you Dixie. If a thing can be dropped, then believe me it will drop! Then I have the embarassing problem of having no sensation in my finger tips which makes it near impossible some days, to pick the thing up again!!
