There is hope after all, I got my brown envelope after 4 monthes of dreading it, and have been put in the support group without a medical. It does say until february 2013 which I know isn't long but at least now I know I will have some money for Christmas :) I just hope I am not the only one and more of you will get awarded it too x

Really pleased for you...

Hopefully they will be so busy that the recall will take longer than February!! Seems a ridiculous waste of time, money & energy to assess people who have already been assessed so recently but if it has been decided that you are to be in the support group now then it should be the same then if you do get called - well that's what seems logical!!

It's good to hear some positive news. :-)

That's good news Coco - I'm glad you got your money for Christmas and good luck for February. I agree that it is ridiculous to reassess someone so soon! Do they think FMS is a virus and you'll be better by then. I do hope you are able to enjoy Christmas without stressing about the next test. Hopefully like Celticmoon says they will take much longer to recall you

Take care

happy for you, it must be a relief.

I think that most awards seem to be until Feb 2013, because that's when the new sort of benefit starts. You may be lucky & automatically change over, but either way you've got a windfall for Christmas - enjoy it x

I know how you feel ! I was dreading the brown envelope too,i think i nearly fainted when i saw i was put into the support group without being called for a medical.I cant put in the words to describe the relief i felt. It doesnt state how long this is going to last, which is concerning. However im grateful but surely if people qualify for esa then why are we treated as scrounging scumbags when we apply for dla? Glad you got your award and good luck to everyone waiting for their brown envelopes..xx
