Great news fantastic news ... But I feel like a total idiot.....after 7 weeks of ibs with constant diahorrea and a referral to the gastro clinic at local hospital my ibs has gone , cleared up disappeared, vamooshed... Why am I an idiot... Cos I caused it..... About 2 weeks before ibs flare up I changed milk went to skimmed pasturerised from the milkman as opposed to the cartons of long life skimmed milk from the supermarket... After the ibs had been going for 4 weeks went lacto free milk still no let up, so last week I gave up and went back to my old cartons of uht skimmed and in just a week I am back to normal, no bloating no diahorrea and eating what I like.... And I am the one in my house who says if it ain't broke don't mess with it... My OH is sitting there looking smugly at me

so pleased you have sorted it out , you certainly are not an idiot , my middle Grangirl went away overnight with her Mum and had cows milk , the results were almost instantaneous bloating , tummy pains then sickness , they say she may grow out of it and to try cows milk occasionally but i don't think its worth it. of course goats or lactose free milk are so much dearer but then she looks so much healthier now xx
