Well done you at managing to do a degree as well as struggling with Fibro - you should be really proud of yourself to have accomplished 2 years already.
It is difficult for your friends to understand just what you are going through ... but they sound as if they are making an effort and that is really good.
Don't worry about seeming dramatic - you probably don't in any case - even if you do after 2 years your friends have accepted it.
Enjoy the rest of your course, work to the best of your ability - it will all be worth it when you get your certificate next summer
I have just finished 3 years of studying & remember what your going through well I did speak to my tutors & close friends who did appear to understand this last year was the worst possibly with the amount of exams (7) & 2 resist out of (15) in 3 years lol I was given extra time as typing & writing is difficult. Looking back I think I should of told people sooner instead of trying to manage as we all try to do.
My worry now is been able to stand long enough to get my degree but I have got this far (not bad for a 44 year old) so I will get to the end through sheer determination lol xx
The advice I wish I'd listened to myself do we ever is to let those closest to you know & help, show them this website & other literature to give them an insight to our painful world.
Good luck finishing your degree I'm sure you'll dig deep into your determination & not let this horrid fibro steal your dream xxx
i definatly cant wait for it to be over! no more uni work imagine that
i have just joined this and already finding it very useful, being 22 its nice to find out how people get through this. i find that im letting friends down alot because i never know what mood my body will be in, least its true what they say 'true friends will be there for u'.
I'm studying part-time at Uni, currently in year 5 of six as it takes twice as long and I really feel like I'm running out of steam. Well done for completing your course!
