Hi there, The best explanation I have found is what is called spoons. We posted it for others on here a few weeks ago. Someone actually found it on you tube which was great. If you cant find it here. I would suggest you google it or get your parents to watch it with you on you tube. Good luck.

The 'Spoon's' is a great recourse although I prefer it in written format. Personally I found the video a little disjointed so it might be good to look at both :-)

Hi there, 😊

I agree with both Dizzy and Telynores about the spoon theory, but even then some people don't "get it"

My suggestion would be that you show them this site and also go to our mother site fmauk.org where there is a vast amount of information which really should give them the true picture. Sit them down with a cup of coffee or tea and make sure they read and take it in. I did this with a friend and also showed her a lot of the posts from this forum and it really did make her understand so much more of what I go through.

Sending you lots of positive vibes 😊

Some people are just never going to get it! I have printed papers told people how to search it, that it's on YouTube and took one with me to the dr... And still don't get it!

Thanks for this great video - it explains everything in a simple way, i'll definitely use it to help my family and friends to understand.

The other thing I found helpful was an actual picture of what your body would look like, if you could see fibromyalgia! Just Google... "What fibro looks like" and it should come up with some pictures. I found this s brilliant way to show people what it's like!....much love.... Ninja.....💝💝
