There were some "racially insensitive" things in a few blogs over the last week or so. Obviously this is not a suitable thing to have on our forum. Members have been asked to edit and basically clean up their posts, if they had of refused then of course Admin would have had to delete the post or even the thread.

There are certain things which I don't imagine anyone wants to see here, racism, advertising, spam, scams, insults and threats being a just a few. Fortunately, considering our large membership, we don't have anything like the problems some forums have, members are very good at reporting issues to Admin and Admin are very good at handling the issues.

As far as I can see everyone has been very good about tidying up their posts and no lasting harm has been done; as I said on the other post we live and learn.

Don't leave, I read your post and there was nothing racist about it, you have done nothing wrong, the world is going mad, my 8 year old autistic nephew, who says what he sees eg. Angela with the glasses on, said Mary with the brown face, and was accused by Mary of being racist, this word Racism is used to freely so please don't leave, this site is about us all, regardless of creed or colour xxxxx

I think we'd better leave the subject matter of the initial discussion there please, no more discussions regarding immigrants because it's a sensitive issue please. Pammy was reassured that the situation was fine and that it wasn't actually her initial post that raised the issue. She was very understanding and no blame whatsoever was apportioned in her direction. It can be unsettling however when anyone writes a post and then through no fault of their own things get "a little carried away". None of this was Pammy's fault.

There is no need to discuss this matter any more, so please no more discussions on immigrants to avoid this happening again. Unfortunately it doesn't matter how many people agree with the points on a thread, if the subject is concerning racism then it becomes unacceptable in our community and breaches our Guidelines.

Thank you for your co-operation.

I feel the comments on 'immigrants' is in no way racial or racist, it's political. The policy that allows other peoples to benefit from, without first paying into, our systems is very wrong. I believe that if we went to live in Spain ( for example) we would lose our benefits here, up to and including child benefit, but would not be eligible for Spanish benefits until we had made a contribution into the Spanish systems. That is right and equitable. However, should refugees that are fleeing for their lives, arrive on our shores, then our policy of extending the hand of friendship and safety is one that I am justifiably proud of. There is a huge difference.

Please no more comments on the subject of immigration now folks - it's best we leave it there and move on. Many thanks! :)

You see what LibertyZ is saying here by asking us to not mention (the word) upsets me because it is deemed as unpolitically correct & the forum could be pulled up on discrimination.

I personally think it wrong. Just thought I'd share my view & I know that that was what the post was initially about.

We are beat which ever way we look at it. By Government, Atos & the Politcally Correct Police in the UK. We cannot stand up for ourselves about anything!

Please see this Blog I have posted:

fibroaction.healthunlocked....

Discussing politics has always been against the FibroAction.HU Community Guidelines. Because, initially, politics related posts were limited to disability specific subjects (e.g. ATOS and the changes to disability benefits) we had been letting posts stand. We have recently had increasing amounts of posts about other political subjects and some of the comments have been getting out of hand. Because of this, I have decided that we should all take more care to try and stay within the guidelines and not discuss politics.

Any further comments on this thread discussing politics will be removed.
