phone up the DLA department up in Blackpool and tbey will tell you if you are entitled. contact details should bein direct.gov as in link in one of the above posts,

but if you apply for free road take the vehicle must be sed for the sole purposes of the disabled person. they don't ave ti be in the car, but your resons fr driving it mst be solely fr the purposes of that individual.

I have vie full mobility component since around 1994/5 and when I owned my own car I piled for free road tax, but when we went back to one car only I returned it as the o ky car we have my husband has to use t to go to work himself... makes no fpdifference if I were to ocassionally use the car, because he ses it fr wrk, it makes to excluded for the free tax. f anyone found to be doing this I believe there is a hefty fine and money have t be paid back. but check with DLA/AAdept and they should be able to help you.

it's been a long while and many things have changed but I used t work for what was DSS o have a good idea on the basics, just nt the current changes,

I claimed DLA whilst iwas still working and I don't think they asked who I worked for, but the same rules still apply about sole usage by or for the disabled person.

I'm nt trying to purposely be negative here.... just give the facts. the only way you will find out for sure is contacting them direct.

good luck xx
