painful ankles
hi if its a new issue i would talk to your doctor ..sorry i am sure other people will be more helpful on whats worked but i think GP needs to check out all new symptoms
I've found elevating my feet/ankles helps a bit. Doesn't make my ankle/feet pain disappear but can make it a bit more manageable.
try a wheat pack.you can either heat it in the microwave or put it in the freezer and it moulds to the shape of your body
do try alternating hot with cold you may find cold works better (it does for some people) If this is a new thing do go to the Docs they may be able to help
Best wishes for Happy feet x gins
Definitely elevation & heat. If the pain gets worse discuss it with your gp. Good luck. x
ask to have a prescription for ALGESAL analgesic cream, it contains a low level local anaesthetic once this has been rubbed in put a hot water bottle (or hot wheat pack) between your ankles and cover with a blanket or fleece and keep your legs as still as possible until you have some noticeable relief, I’ve had this particular pain from fibro my whole life (34 years) and apart from high level painkillers this is the only thing that I’ve found that helps relieve it, and has the bonus of not making you feel sleepy or 'foggy' as painkillers will,
Best of luck
Hi guys many thanks for all your input, the only problem is i broke my back and cant sit for long periods and with elevating my feet it puts pressure on my lower back quicker - I have to have a review of my meds soon so going to make an appointment with my docs, also my ankles are always cold so I dread doing the cold pack!! lol xx
A tens machine.I have painful ankles and feet and its too do with nerves and sacrolitas joint in the bottom of my back a visit to a doctor to get a referral to a pain management clinc maybe a good idea
