Both my kness and ankles are killing me today, don't know if the weather has anything to do with it. It is quite dull outside, but I am still trying to be bright on the inside.
Enjoy your day and I do hope it will be pain free xxxxxx
Yes I would say unfortunately it is the weather. My body is like a barometer and I will say to the OH the weather is going to change and it always aches more when it is either cold and wet or muggy and wet. I thought at first I was imagining it but when I mentioned it at the Pain Clinic and also got into a conversation with the NHS Acupuncturist they both said it was unfortunately a reality. They did both explain all the technicalities of why it happened but you know what fibro fog is like so I have forgotten all the medical bits but it is to do with the fluid expanding and contracting in the joints. It is particularly painful for people with osteo who already have damaged joints.
Hoping the weather will clear so we all have a more pain free day.x
I too am having bad ankle & feet day, never thought it weather related!! Had pain & swelling in right shoulder lately & in muscles down to elbow, didn't feel like fibro pain so when to gp, she says its frozen shoulder, first time for this. Got app. for Physio nxt month. Anyone know if this will help it?
I've never had frozen shoulder myself but know a few people who have very painful so they told me. Several of them had quite a good success with physio so fingers crossed for you.x
I feel for you. Just try to take it easy and rest if you can. Oh yes the weather plays a part. Agreed barometric pressure has an effect. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. "Hugs"
There's what's called an "Old Wive's Tale" here that some get aches & pains in cooler, and/or damp weather! My pain doc says that isn't just an "OWT" ~ it's very true ~ and those of us who have chronic pain can indeed even feel, or predict, that such weather is coming!
And, my headaches/migraines seem very much affected by changes in the barometric pressure ...
Yes, people I was chatting to today have been suffering all kinds of aches and pains and they think it's all due to the weather.
I am so genuinely sorry to read that and I sincerely hope that you start to feel more like your usual self again soon. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
My Doctor says "It is not just an old wives' tale ... " (in other words: not to be believed.) It is a fact that our bodies react to weather ... in his medically trained opinion.
