my thighs feel, and are, very swollen and numb but painul!!
they feel as if they are in a tight balloon.
I've just had a shower and sat in a shower chair in my cozzie while a carer assisted me.
I was running the shower on my thighs to ease them, I couldn't feel anything as they were numb. the carer was about to wash my her and put her hand under the shower, she shrieked in alarm at the temp of the water. luckily it didn't scald me, but it is bothering me. any advice is welcome. sandra.

I have no advice but I too have numb thighs and could easily stick a pin in them without any feeling, told GP just shrugged his shoulders as if I was at it so I grabbed my thigh which by the way is rather large and nipped it until my fingers were almost touching each other then he said "oh must be part of the Fibromyalgia", so I'm no further forward, every little thing now gets blamed on my FM, before that was diagnosed it was my weight, lost all the weight, it was the smoking, stopped smoking now it's the bloody FM, truthfully GP's have no idea what this condition is.
Sorry I can't be of more help but you are not alone.
saw my gp , he checked for sensations "feel this?" all over, I could, said did right asking nhs direct - that's why it's there to settle your mind; just keep eye on it,
