Hi anybody had an ultra sound guided nerve block in the neck, im having one Thursday and am looking for comments

Hi Jan,

This may not be relevant, but I had a nerve block in the neck pre-operatively for a shoulder replacement last year. It is a slightly odd sensation as it may make one of your arms jerk as they do the injection. It will most probably be different for you, as yours is probably for long term control of pain - but with mine the arm felt slightly heavy and warm for several days, but that is more likely to do with the surgery, I doubt you would get that with an injection aimed at pain control, but it most definately took all the pain away for me.

Hi I just wondered how your nerve block went as I had one 6 months ago and was rushed to hospital straight after querying a stroke. I just wondered if it has happened to anyone else. I am still affected.

I hope it works for you! My head, neck, and shoulders just started hurting soooo badly two years ago.
