NERVE BLOCK INJECTION

Ive got neurological itch, which I am putting down to fibromyalgia, and I'm booked in for nerve block injections. Im worried it could possibly make things worse, as my body tends to over react to treatments with more pain. Lets hope it works for us both, I have no idea of the success rate with this procedure and would like to know more.

I had a series of spinal injections, plus one into the back of the head. Spinal ones didn't work but the head one cured my migraines for months. My friend has spinal ones andthey work every time for her. The injections didn't make my fibro any worse. Let's hope you get some relief. Like everything it's a case of what works for one may not work for another.

Hi, I am interested in your post, did you say you have a neurological itch,? If so what do you mean by this ? I suffer from Fibro and I have random skin itch which can be anywhere, where I itch till my skin is scraped off and wondering if this is a Fibro thing?

Hi

The itching is under the skin in the nerves, not related to the skin at all. It's like an electrical current tingling through my body and culminating in intense itching. I have ME and fibromyalgia and don't know if this itching is part of either of these?

Hi, I too have itchy skin. It is averagely annoying most of the time. But when I am under stress, it is much worse. Along with that, my skin is very dry. Various moisturizing lotions help to some extent. I've never been offered nerve blocks for this.

I have no idea of the success rate with nerve itch, it remains to be seen if it offers some relief. Only a year's wait!!!

I have similar itch problems that I wish I could get a cure for. I also have fibro.

That is very interesting because if you google neurological itch it is present sometimes with MS and other serious conditions but fibromyalgia isn't mentioned, doctors don't understand what's causing it and you are left wondering if it is linked to fibromyalgia. I also think if it is, the prognosis long term may be different?
