Hello Debs, so sorry you are having bad pains. I can relate to how you describe your pain, I get the same sort of pain, a shooting burning stinging pain in both my elbows. I was diagnosed by my GP a year ago with Tennis Elbow in both my arms. Shortly after this, I was told I had Golfer's Elbow too! I used to move heavy machinery at work for ten years and my GP reckons this is what injured my arms and that having Fibromyalgia has exacerbated the pains.

The pains you feel are very common with Fibromyalgia - the pain can be hot, burning, tingling, shooting dart-like pains with a pins and needles sort of feeling too. If you are at all worried about this, please have a word with your GP for reassurance. They may also be able to give you something to manage the pain. These type of pains can be felt all over your body, all of which are common with Fibro. I hope you get some comfort soon Debs. :) :)

Thanks Libby.I am due to see doctor in two weeks for results of neck xrays, so willtalk to her, she is a brilliant doctor, so glad.I have changed from my other doctor, who is wortse than useless! I do think me dragging stand aids with patients across carpets and being in a big building at work(lots of walking) doesnt help. but love my job, so will just have to take it a bit easier and ask for help. thanks for the reassurance hunnie xxx

Have the same pain but in my left leg and foot. Has been horrendous just lately. Only relief I get is goin g to bed, finding a comfortable position and stay in it. Mind you I do have Lymphodeama and that may be the cause. Waiting to see the MacMillan nurses but the waiting list is long so goodness knows when I will get to see them. No painkillers seem to help.

Just have to get on with it!

It's a horrible pain and I get it too, you're not alone!! I think it is a fibro thing, I tend to get it in my feet too and it's hard to control with pain killers. I've found Pilates is good to deal with that sort of pain, even though it takes a bir out of you.xx

i got it too and ive been told it is to do with the tension in our muscles causes strain on the nerves and this can be what causes the pain its like a trapped nerve or a crushed nerve. i do stretches every night that have been recommended by a sports therapist and it really helps keep my muscles looser and stretched and this helps reduce the tension

hope this helps xxx

it's horrible. know that feeling well. unless you've got a rash and it turns out to be shingles, am guessing it's the fibro - yet again!

feel a bit better soon x
