While I was ranting, I forgot to say, I scored 6 points for not being able to pick up and move a box, and Im NOWHERE NEAR as bad. (Although I have enough to be getting on with...or not) Where do they get their points awards from? thin air?? Oh no, its from the brain cell they share, and I think the battery needs recharging!!

What I was going to say was that, since they are bringing in this new PIP they seem to be refusing every new claim!!!!!!

Ask the CAB about a welfare officer, you could ring up social services and as for occupational therapist, who will helkp you out. XXXXWhat ever you do don't give up!!! XXX

This is disgusting beyond belief, what are these idiots doing!!! Appeal and go to citizens advice for help. They collate the info, send it to their head office and use it to oppose government rulings or prove to them just how their stupid system is not working, as far as i was told by a lovely lady who helped me. All she did was help people with appeals which about says it all really!!!

Might also be worth contacting your local MP and telling them just how stupid and farcical these shambolic medicals are.

On another note, i was under the impression that you should have been seen by a "doctor", might be wrong though, i'm sure you can get advice from someone on here.

Got a medical myself on Tues....eeeeekkk!!! Am thinking i should have appeal forms on standby and an appt with Citizens Advice booked...:-{

Good luck and keep us all posted, you're certainly not on your own

Take care

We would like to thank Mr Cameron and his government for all of this. Yet youngsters that have been out of work since they have left school don't count. I was in Hospital 8 weeks ago with a heart attack, there was a prisoner there with two guards and he was shouting out that he will be glad to get back to prison so he could have tidy food not the crap that was in the hospital, and that he could see Sky sports. So what chance will disabled people have ????

when there in prison they think they have the right they should have no right

I know the agonizing things that you are going through, my point is that they look after the wrong people, Like you I have been through the mill, and still more things going wrong as each year goes past, the last thing was fibro. It is ridiculous that you have to go through the appeal system, i am sure that they do not read our medical records, keep fighting and good luck, as we all look good on the out side,but it's the inside that all the trouble.

That is terrible, I too will at some point have to go for an assessment (which I am not looking forward to) but the benefit is no longer called "Incapacity Benefit" it's called EESA. They have tighter measures now (one of Cameron's ideas of idiocy!) I took my disabled son for his assessment last year he has ADHD and autism but they class him fit for work, I don't know who will employ him because he doesn't take instruction easily and can walk out if he's upset, again this assessment was with a nurse who knows practically nothing about how autism works. He gets EESA now instead of his Incapacity benefit but he has to show them he is active in looking for work. When I eventually go for mine they'll see I can't walk well, I can't sit for long periods of time, I have problems when studying (I am at university) even the uni see I have problems and have equipped my home for study, special desk, chair etc...I hope you do get to re-appeal their decision.

What a farce, it just goes to show that they are failing everybody regardless. Do they think we are too stupid to fight! It makes me so angry that the money they are spending paying ATOS and the appeals and tribunal services could be funding the benefits we should be getting. All they are doing is causing us more stress and hardship which in turn affects our health, GRRRRR
