fibromyalgia and pip appeal
Hi, you can contact FMA UK's benefit helpine on 0300 999 0055 (Mon, Wed, Fri 10.00-12.00) or email benefits.advice@fmauk.org
They can provide guidelines on how to appeal pip decisions
Sorry to hear about your Daughter. Hazel_Angelstar is right - you are definitely going to need help with this. It is often the way things are worded or not worded that will gain the points. Did you have any help with the original form and the Mandatory Reconsideration? If you can get statements from people who actually see your Daughter regularly and can say how she is and what assistance she needs and when these will also help you.
I did a statement for a friend of mine who was awarded standard living and nothing for mobility but was then awarded enhanced living and standard mobility.
Good luck.
For an appeal definitely get help. I used Fightback4justice who are a donation run charity however the fees they charge are not for gain but used for helping us fight for our rights. I have used them twice for claims, successfully too. There are others you can use but do have a look at Fightbacks online website. Good luck
Is there a charge if handled by fight4justice. Is it a fixed rate or affordable?
Thanks
I have no idea what the fee would be for an appeal, I paid for them to complete my form. They do have more information on their website and it might be prudent to contact them and tell them what you want and how much it would cost. I am sure they would give you an idea.

Aww, thanks for taking the time to give me the info. I am okay I was just curious
All the best
Many thanks for your reply. It is very much appreciated.
My daughter also has fybromyalgia and mental health problems and was turned down for pip even though she can barely walk sometimes, regularly passes out with the pain and her anxiety is so bad she will not put herself through an appeal.
Hope you get a good outcome yourself xx
I will be appealing. It is not about the money its about her being believed and getting what she so rightly deserves. The DWP should be ashamed of themselves,
well my daughter has her pip tribunal appeal on Thursday and since receiving the notification she has been in bits. I am not sure how she is going to cope . it is by telephone so I hope this will help as one of the things she struggles with is people looking at her. Although the DWP had her mental health hospital details they only contacted her GP who answered "unknown" to all the questions on the Captiva form. The OH answers are untrue and inaccurate. My question is, should we have asked the mental health hospital for her report or should the DWP have done this?
Dwp won’t have passed it on as different departments it would be better you having the information and pass it on copies never the original
And I don’t have pip but my neighbour said put the worst day as everyday and add your own how hard it is on a different paper and hand it in
Demand a mobile call so loud speaker and take notes and get their name and sh.t what they say speak for her if she cries
My neighbour said that’s what he did so if that helps
Listening to everyone I don’t think I will try yet maybe later when things get worse good luck
My daughter had her over the phone Tribunal just under two weeks ago and she has been awarded standard DLA and Enhanced Mobility. Please do not give up and continue to seek what you rightly deserve.
