Hi Andy,

do not give up and Appeal becaue i think a lot have to appeal with these assessments, it is very distressing and depressing and can just make you feel so down, but don't let it.

go to CAB and get some help with it all too.

if you give up they will think you not unwell enough to be entitled..

never let owt dead beat ya is my hubbys moto .

How are work with yoru problems.

Sorry i am not a profession i am merely going on things i have read and observed over time and i have read others have been turned down but they re appeal.

I never for a 2nd thought i would get my Blue Badge as i see some ppl tht look really bad walking, i was honest and i was not exactly slow either i was asked was it a 'good' day i said yes becaues i made it here !

Today my knee and leg is in pain i can barely put pressure on it and if i was doing my assessment today then i would not of done half hte walk i did !!

you have to go on your 'worst' days as it gets said not your decent day.

xxx All the best and we all here to help the best we can for all who on this site who joined and know it exists because there are many who have no idea or have no internet access.

xxx

Hi Andy, Don't give up I am too in the same position as you are at the moment, But have it from the horses mouth that 90percent of people like us fail the assessment. there assessments are rubbish and dont prove a thing. Just get some advice from the cab or phone up a solicitor who deals with this kind of thing as the first half hour is free and you wuld get legal aid if you go over the time. I was told to keep a diary for a month and get as much evidence from gp's physio's and or specialists as i could so you can send a copy to them. CAB might be able to help with getting you more money too so dont leave it take the bull by the horns and get it sorted. take care and hold on in there vikki x

I'm filling in the forms at the moment to be transferred from Income Support to ESA so its probably only a matter of time until I'm in your position. Please don't give up! At the moment I don't know how I'm going to get through the forms let alone what comes after but if we give up this fight they will have achieved their aim and none of us can afford for that to happen. They've already taken so much from me and made my life so much harder than it needs to be as a result, but I've decided that they are NOT taking anything else!

Take a moment to regroup and fight on!

Contact someone form Welfare Rights or CAB about them turning you down and make sure you ask for a copy of the medical report so you can scrutinise ot for all the lies they tell. So many of us have been there and know exactly how you feel right now. Donot give up as that is what they are hoping we will do xxxxx
