hi was diagnosed 4yrs ago but have had no real help from doctors or information

would really like som advice or help anyone can offer i was diagnosed 4yrs ago but apart from being given amatriptaline at night have been sort of left to it so i just suffer in silence really and it gets me really down sometimes , any advice would be great . thanks

There are fibromyalgia clinics dotted around the UK. Maybe your GP could refer you to one? Also the Experts Patients Program but thats a multiple disabilities course on self management.

i see my gp once a month , i think its a shame you have been left to get on with it xx

Hi bettyboop,

Its lovely to meet you, you have came to the right site for advice and support. :)

Its horrible when your gp leaves you too it, can you change your gp?

I am on amitriplyn and that was all i was on for about a year after diagnosis. Now i have gabapentin too and it helps me so much.

Please dont feel alone nomore, there is always someone on here. :)

thankyou, for the replys i am curently getting ESA last yr i had to go for a medical and then they said i was fit for work after an apeal i got it back but now have been called for another one and am really worried about it the forms are so confusing

hi hun wot a shame u have been on yr own ,change yr doc ,ive got a brill doc who got me diagnosed in 3 weeks ive been diagnosed a year im on nortiptilyne at nite ,cocodamol ,diazepam as n wen i need them dont suffer in silence .soft hugs Tofty xxx
