Does anyone suffer with coccyx pain?

Oh my god got up this morning in chronic pain in my coccyx feels like some one kicked me.

It's pain on top of pain, what to do .......................................

i get chronic pain in my coxyx a lot not a lot you can do but i do sympathize with you it feels like ive been kicked my a horse some days if you find some thing that helps the pain then please keep my informed

ive had this since giving birth to my eldest daughter shes nearly 26, I cant sit on my bum, I have to sit on my side, yesterday sitting on the hard chairs for 20mins meant I could hardly walk after, I usually take a soft pillow with me, people must think Ive got piles[lol]

There is a rubber flat pillow called a coccyx pillow. Look up on the net. I take this pillow everywhere I go. Hard for me to sit period. Have you thought about an ablation or nerve block n the area???? Hugs

oooh have had this in the past, coxyx pain has to be one of the worst pains. Feel for you hun.

yes i do have coxyx pain too . it could be an old injury that the fibro messaging is telling that part of your body isnt healed or wear and tear . I have lumber stonosis which is my pain cause , but even though i had my hernia op i still get the exact pain as though i've not had the op.It is worth a trip to our GP just for a check up . I used to have that after breaking mine 3 times over a few years. Eventually had op to remove it. Before that had steroid injections into it. Hurt like merry hel but stopped the pain for about 3 months at a time. A foam ring cushion was the best to sit on.

I have permanent Coccyx pain from an old ice skating injury I had over 25 years ago. Fibro has definitely exacerbated it - I need a hot water bottle on my lower back when I go to bed otherwise it's too painful to lie on it.

I have his too and was told that its actually sciatica as I also gt a cold numbness down my bottom and right leg, I also suffer terrible neck and shoulder pain!. I sympathise with you all that suffer the coccyx pain as its awful x

Hi. I also have this almost every day. I use a heat spray as soon as I can move to get the spray. I use a patch or cream if I am going out. They make a huge difference. Good thing is that they are all available in the cheap shops now at £1 or a little more. Best of luck. Fi x

I have had the severe coccyx pain for sometime now. I do remember when I felt like you do. My entire coccyx and my vaginal area was racked with pain. Finally I got into to the pain doctor. He injected my ganglion coccyx area and I was fine. Now we are working on an ablation in the same area. At the tip of your tail bone is a clump of nerves that come together. They can be troublesome, so I did receive a ganglion impar block and it worked. Now I will go back for the ablation. I have pain from the knees down to my feet. Very very painful. The new drug I added is Gralise (gabapentin) tablets, (slow release). I am on a starter pack. We will see. So sorry for your discomfort. We all suffer in similar ways. Hang in there.
