Reflexology....

I have told most of you before that I have been receiving reflexology, well I think it works for pain.

The last time I had it was about a month ago. The evening of the treatment I had awful pain and thought I was having a flare up. Well in the morning I woke up, no pain and no more pain to date that is FM related anyway. ( I suffer from whiplash in my lumbar and cervical spine...so that still causes me pain, however.

The reflexology cleanses your body of toxins and I believe it works. I am going to have another session next week and will see how I am after that.

Maybe some of you could give it a go.

That's brilliant Rach. I'd like to give it a go. I've been trying the Emmett Technique for a few weeks now and I'm not sure it's made a while lot of difference.

I might try refelxology next.

Oh yeah I think we have had this convo before....try it and it is probably cheaper!!!

I am a great believer in de toxing, and both acupuncture and reflexology both do this.

Chinese medicine is the way to go I think. They use all the alternative therapies in hospitals as a matter of course. xx

I had relfexology for about 6 months and it seemed to working so well and then I just hid rock bottom and although my reflexologist kept trying to help me nothing she did ever got me back to where I had been so in the end we decided the time had come to stop the treatment.

Hope it continues to work for you

I know it's sometimes hard to fit everything in isn't it, esp as you are working. I would def try it, or infact try anything that you may get relief from. xx

Ahh lucky you having acupuncture. I love it, but it's always soooo much money.

Hope it chills you out and realines your energy flow through your body!!

Hiya Rach, I love reflexology, have found an excellent practitioner who used to be a nurse in our local cancer hospital and she is really good. I never tell her anything before she starts the treatment but she always manages to hit the spot!!. It amazes me how by her just gently massaging certain areas she can ease the symptoms. She does warn me though that because of the work she has done I may feel a bit grotty for the rest of the day so to rest and drink lots of water.

Havn't been for a little while but I know when its time to go back. Will hopefully get an appointment next week if I can.xx

That's fab....I'm the same, I don't say where I hurt to my refloxologist and she always gets the right areas!!!

Good luck with your future treatments!! x

as an experienced reflexologist, i can recommend this treatment. but as with everything else, it may not work for everyone. i treat myself for a while, and it didnt help. it is good for relaxation and to help promote good sleep also, even if you dont get relief from pain with it. i always say, i can cope with anything after a good nights sleep. i hope those of you trying it, get some relief. also, some pain clinics, and rumatologists (terrible spelling) offer a few of these sessions for free xx
