Reflexology...

I have been having reflexology now for 3 weeks. Basically my feet get massage and the lady presses different parts of my feet. Some parts are painful and some not.

I have to say for a few days after the treatment I do feel like I have more energy. By pressing parts of the feet she gets rid of toxins in my body and makes the energy flow better.

I would recommend it, you can't just go once, you have to have atleast 6 sessions so notice any help. The parts of my feet that were painful in the beginning are better now.....she is really pleased with my progress.

Could she miss your big toe??? I guess tho your big toes relate to your neck and face and maybe that woudl be helpful to have it touched if you do have neck/head symptoms?? Good luck though xx

Oooh, what shall I have tomorrow then? I could have a gentle massage, reiki or reflexology......

I remember going to a carers pampers day a few years ago and having reflexology and I was lying there and the woman was doing what she does with my feet and she kept saying "give me your feet" and I thought, silly c*w, what IS she talking about, she's got my feet. Then she said she'd never worked with anyone so tensed up. :(

id like to give it a go, very open to alternative therpay, ive had bowens and i do self reiki, aromatherpay massages, but not tried reflexology x

The woman I'm going to tomorrow does Bowens. I saw that on her website. I'm just going to ask her what she thinks. I'm really open to trying alternative therapy too. xx

Hi Ladies Julie here (Mrs Chorley)

I have used reflexology but not recently, I really should get back into it and use Neil as a dummy ( yes I know he is one already hahahaha)

anyway if you decide to visit a reflexologist make sure you advise them fully of your condition and where you are suffering most with pain, she/he then should take great care around that specific area, this also works on your hands if you cant stand you feet being touched, for instance if you have headache you will find a pressure point deep in the fleshy part between your thumb and forefinger, press into this you with your other thumb and forefinger, you will know when you hit the spot, its generally better when someone else does it though xx

Thanks for that Julie Mrs C. :) I daren't comment om your comment about Neil being your dummy lol.

Funnily enough, I've printed a diagram off of the trigger points to take with me tomorrow and plan on telling her where I hurt most. Thought it might be a good idea although I'll proably leave the damn thing at home! xxx

Hi, I totally agree with Mrs Chorley, sorry forgot to suggest that you tell the practioner of your problems. They should start gently and over time increase the pressure. My lady is a nurse and chinese too, so is fully aware of the body and alternative therapies. She started gently on me and when I shouted ouch, she tole me exactly where that area of my foot related to. It is amazing stuff!!! I had an awful bruised pain on one side of my face yesterday and when she touched the inside of my big toe it was so painful Guess what that area related to my face!!! She was gentle in this area, but next week it will be interesting to see how it is.

She always picks up on my kidneys and funnily enough I have just been referred to the urologist due to problems.

I am a believer in it..........

Hope those that try it enjoy and find it benefical!! xxxx

I had reflexology for about a year once a week and I seemed to be feeling much better but then for no reason I hit rock bottom, I carried on with the treatment but it made no difference to me so in the end i stopped having it.

The lady I went to was highly qualified so I know she was good and she was doing eresearch in FMS and reflexology.

I enjoyed the treatment but sadly there was no point in carrying on when it was not doing me any good.
