My back seized up in the shower so i have taken 2 tramadol, my amitryptilline and a diazepam.
Yes the muscles have relaxed a bit although the pain is still bad and my legs keep cramping when i stretch(i have that uncontrollable urge to stretch my muscles)
But its 3.15 and i still cant settle. My legs are hurting too much to manage the stairs so caant even go get hot milk. Cant concentrate on reading and now my head is starting to ache.
How can one stay positive with this bloody illness if we are so tired all the time and in pain?
I just want to get comfortable so i can relax enough to sleep.
: (
And i hate blooming moaning but it seems all i do lately!!!!
it is so hard to stay positive when you are in pain and so tired i am too i really know my body is gonna give up soon as in i am gomnna be really ill as i am so run dowmn through tiredness and pain , i just need tom sleep for about 4/6 hours straight then i would feel so much better i know i would.
kialaya i understand what your saying i said those exact words to my gp, he told me if you think things are bad, on meds you would never manage without, in other words it would be even worse for us. I for one know i couldnt cope with it being even worse no sireee, hope your feeling some respite today.
Aw hub, don't worry about moaning.... If you can't moan to us who can you moan to?? I'm sick of moaning constantly too lol but it has to be done to vent how we feel, if we didn't it would drive us crazy!! Rest up chic! X
i know how you feel its relentless i to am sick of moaning[good thing we can all do it together] I take my meds but still no let up of the pain, i feel like putting the damn lot in the bin
True, vent here all you want and maybe someone will have an idea that will help.
Have you tried avoiding tv and computer for an hour before bed? Apparently the blue back light is meant to help users stay awake!
Have you tried muscle testing? Look it up on the internet, apparently it helps some.
Have you got/tried a TENs machine? I pulled my back muscles getting off a chair recently and this machine helped me. I too suffer from muscle spasms, although they tend to be linked with my monthly, for the gents, during this time the muscles contract giving cramps to some in either the stomach area or the back [me] and this contraction is what seems to set mine off. It is a non medicated muscle stimulator which has never set my spasms off - must admit I was scared it would, but if you are suffering at the time, it may help release them. Just a theory. Hope it helps you.
I was surprised to hear you had spasms set off in the shower. Do you think you over reached yourself? I got myself a long handled back scrub which also helps me between the toes as I cannot reach them!!! Not totally true, but definitely not safe in the shower to try.
Have you tried wheat bags along the spasming muscles to help ease them?
Lots of ideas there for you and I hope something helps. Really sorry to learn that you suffered this and hope you get some respite soon.
