Trying To Prove My Case.....

I've been trying to get help ever since I was diagnosed....I've been told I have to move home and a report would be forwarded to my housing officer....I didn't want to at first because I think the move will take me a long time to get over it!

As my condition worsened I agreed to moving but I am now told by a duty social worker that I have no mobility issues and they won't be doing a report to recommend a move!! Greatly upset....I spoke to my kids to make sure they were alright with it...I walk with a walking stick n lumbar support belt, I have to crawl up the stairs sometimes.....in despair....

This is my very first blog and I'm feel so much better for coming on here. Thank you Ruby and Diddle for your responses.

I was so upset this morning that I wrote to the Adult Social Care asking for some clarity (which I know I won't get) as they have begun to ignore my emails.(it's only the second one)......I think my GP hasn't got a clue about what I'm going through even though I go into great detail....I feel as though I'm all alone...n kind of a nutter coz I have to repeatedly say whats up....go on these assessment, etc....I'm going to try the GP/MP route...

Thank you both so very much x x x x x x

Aww realtsm,

Honestly i just wish these people would walk a day in your shoes then you would get some help ehh.

It is so sad hearing stories like this, your not asking for much are you.

My friend has MS and is in a wheelchair and has no partner but has three children and people wouldnt help her as they say that her kids should help her more. So it is totally left to her family and she gets very little help.

I hope you get it sorted soon.

Big gentle hugs, kel xxx

I feel bad that my kids have to help me....I had a full and happy childhood and I wanted the same for my kids...my eldest has his own child now and my youngest is only 9...I also feel like I'm asking for the world...I've never asked for help previously...I've always done everything myself, now I'm in this position it is hard, it is demeaning and it is so overly depressing!

For my own sanity I have to try to stay positive and optimistic!

Thanks for the gentle hugs hun, much appreciated and welcomed.

T xx
