My spine is very boney anyway but it particularly boney and sticks out at the coccyx hope that is spelt right but you know what i mean!!!! so again you are not alone try and sit on cushion/ pillow or prob a rubber ring would be best if you have got one the things we have to do to get comfy with this fibro lol love to you diddle xx
I had this for many years,I was told I had broken it and it was going to take an awfully long time to heal due to the fact we all have to sit.I know what you mean about getting up I used to say it was like coming up off a rusty nail. And I would come up from sitting like concord taking off.
I really feel for you hun as those years were horrible, could never sit for long on a hard seat.
Going to friends was a night mare till I found a garden chair that opend like an old fashion deckchair, and was light so friends would put it in the car and I could visit.
My compfiest place was the loo seat LOL.
Can you remember a fall that might have done something and also it can have something to do the the veritbre at the bottom.
Worth a word with your G.P.My eye`s water for you as thats what mine did every time I sat or stood up. Love and Hugs Butterfly54 xx
P.S that one truely is a pain in the bum
ive got that very same pain at the moment, cant sit stand or lie comfortably, been like this for days, mine was origanlly caused from a long labour with my first child of over 2 days followed by another 3 kids i no ill eventually b in a wheel chair as my coxyc didnt go bk into place after first or subsequint children. In the meantime i just fill up with pain meds to try and keep it at bay but i no i need to go bk to the drs and get it fully checked out again as its got a lot worse very quickly when ive not done anything to agrivate it.
Thankyou everyone for your comments. I've had 4 children so i don't know if that is a factor. It hurts when i've been sitting directly on my bottom after about 10-15 minutes. After that i have to shift my sitting position. I think i'm going to invest in a very big comfy cushion to see if that helps.
Hi I had it feel for you.I had to have Steroid injection could not sit down.I bought a cushion with cutout section to take the pressure off took age to find relief,Hope you find a solution.x
i fell downstairs 9 years ago and have been suffering with it ever since. the heading is what attrected me to this blog because thats exactly what i fell. i have told every doctor i have seen in the last two years and only one showed the sleghtest interest. she sent me to the local big hospital (30 miles away) to have a scan and when i arrived, i was told i was seeing the physio because "we only do scans on people who are having an operation" HOW do they know i dont need an operation if they dont do a scan??? i had to get out of that postcode area and find somewhere different!
Now i'm told i sit too much! what else can we do when we cannot stay on our feet all day. i used to work for NHS and still cannot believe some of the C--- they come out with!
