strange symptom

ive been having a few strange symptoms just wondering if anyone else has these. Dripping nostril but not having a cold. Always feeling like i have phlgem and have to keep clearing my throat they are just strange. I think i read something a while back that someone with fibro had written about these symptoms.

I do too! Had it for years but never thought it could be fibro

Hi, sounds more like a sinus problem than a fibro issue to be honest. You could be suffering with post nasal drip. That would cause the phlegm in the back of the throat and the drip.

I have suffered with this for many years. Maybe a good idea to have a word with your local chemist.

As Dizzytwo suggested it sounds like post nasal drip. I had horrendous sinus infections and headaches before sinus surgery 30 years ago. They cleared a lot of bony growth from my sinuses and increased the sinus drainage to the back of my throat. It's helped with the headaches and sinus infections but I get almost constant post nasal drip now. When tree pollen is high (like now) I get hay fever and my nose runs a lot and I get even more catarrh going down the back of my throat! YUK

Hi Paige, yes I have had something going on since last Thanksgiving. I noticed it flying home from seeing my daughter on the decent. My right ear was having a lot of pain. I have been on 4 rounds of antibiotics for 7-10 days which helped but came right back immediately after all the antibiotics were taken. I even had a round of prednisone which didn’t help. The phlegm turns thick and green in color sometimes it has had blood in it. When ever my gp or ent doctor looks in my ears they say ears look good. However in Connecticut at a Parkinson’s study the research neurologist said my right ear looked like it had fluid behind the ear drum and urgent care doctor said the same thing. The last appointment with the ent doctor he tested the pressure which showed (and felt different) an abnormality in the right ear. That was over 2wks ago. Right now both ears feel stopped up, itchy, throat is definitely SORE, pressure behind both eyes. I have yet to learn what is causing this. Also have been having loud cicadas buzzing in both ears. The tinnitus has been going on for probably a year or so did get hearing aids but haven’t been able to wear them lately because of the pressure in the ears. I don’t know if one is supposed to wear them when having an inner ear/sinus infection. Don’t think about it to ask anyone about this. I am still new to hearing aids. If anyone ever finds out what this weird aggravating thing is please share. I never thought of it being a fibro thing. I was diagnosed with fibro in 94 months but never had anything like this before.

I was going to suggest it could be post nasal drip. My mum had this. It can be caused by certain foods i.e dairy.
