Lumps, inflamed vessels especially in neck

I've been feeling weird especially since changing meds. Feels like I've been poisoned or something. I get sensations down my arm & up my neck, the veins feel inflamed but also hard, the area swollen.

I always assumed it was muscle knots, but now I think it might be the vessels.

Got the fear, as I looked up Google.. vasculitis.

Think I'll contact GP, been on this med about a month duloxetine think I'll come off it.

Any advice please? What else to try?

I do need an anti depressant but I can't find one that suits.

Hi there, if you have only been experience this issue since been on a change of medication. Then you need to discuss it with your GP. They are the only ones who can answer your concerns. I hope you get it sorted out soon.

personally found this to be a horrible drug and really unpleasant also to come off it so please take care and advice from the professionals. I am now on LDN for me personally it has been the best drug for fibro with zero unlike all the other MEDS only downside I have to pay £30 a month for it it’s worth every penny good luck

I've read about LDN did your GP arrange that for you? Think I'll come off the duloxetine, I've only been on it a month.

I sorted the LDN out myself I did ask my doctor she was more than happy for me to try it but couldn’t prescribe it as it’s not actually licensed for fibro. Although it is a very safe and well tolerated drug and an old drug the neurologist told me it was a good idea to try it my doctor agreed I got it from Dicksons chemist Glasgow if you go online you can arrange a consultation which is £50 please though make sure you have proof i.e. a letter confirming you have fibromyalgia you will have a telephone call from them to talk over your MEDS and your health and that it is safe for you to take LDN then you will pay a fee. I think for the first two months the best thing I’ve ever done I feel so much better on it. I hope this helps.I was also on duloxetine for one month and hated it made me feel like an absolute zombie.

Awesome thanks mate, I'm near Glasgow anyway. Speaking with my GP next week. Advised to come off the duloxetine gradually. I'm on the lowest dose 30mg. Advised 1 every other day for a week, then off them completely. Can I ask how you came off them & what it was like? Heard people say it's bad coming off, hoping won't be too bad as only on a month.

I'll ask my GP next week about LDN.

Cheers

Can’t quite remember what I was like when I came off it but I remember reading a lot of people saying it was bad but it wasn’t nice but it wasn’t that bad. I have a friend medical person your doctor won’t prescribe it literally there’s no money in it. That’s why a lot of people don’t get prescribed this drug which is Totally wrong because ultimately it’s about helping people.

Just seen your posts. I guess meds take differently for each of us. Duloxetine worked well for me, however I was taken off it as I had been on it for a while. You have to come of it gradually, more like going down the way you started. I am now on pregabalin, don't feel it's effective for me and will check LDN, what does the LDN stand for

Hi , I feel for you, I take Duloxetine and it agrees with me, more energy than before due to it. You can take another for depression, I could never take sertraline and the others, the only one which agreed with me was paroxetine. Hope this helps x
