hi all, i had the dreaded form to fill in for pip renewal, filled it in i had no new info to give them from docs or consultants etc, had a reply saying were reviewing my claim and to let me know outcome in 2 weeks in less than a week i had a letter saying they are going to carry on paying me the same as before standard mobility and advanced daily living and this is for the next 5 years and without interview or phone call.. my question is do they usually give 5 yrs, it was for 3yrs last time.. also when it expires it will be a few months before I’m a pensioner will my pip stop when i become a pensioner or will they let me renew.

thank you and i hope your all having one of the good days x

as things stand it will continue unless you claim attendance allowance. However who knows what will have changed by then in the next government review. I’m in the same situation as you but 65 and waiting on my review response.

Providing you receive PIP at retirement age it will continue. The only difference is that the mobility award cannot go from standard to enhanced. Once you reach retirement age then it is normally an ongoing award with a light touch review in 10 years or if the DWP deem it necessary to review before 10 years.

Hope you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for you to here from them. I have sent mine back last week.

No don’t mind at all I had a reply back from them around 4 weeks after sending forms off, after they replied saying reviewing and they said should her in couple of weeks but it was less than a week, hope that makes sense 😊

That was really quick, last time I renewed it was 6 months before I heard anything, then it was just a phone call from DWP asking a few questions. I hate all this, just want it over with.
