I’ve read quite a lot of people on here saying still awaiting their decision for their light pip review. I’ve been waiting since June and my pip ends in Jan 24. I received a letter from the DWP yesterday advising me they haven’t reviewed my claim as yet but are extending my payments until Jan 25. They will let me know as soon as decision made. I hope this helps anyone still waiting

pip review
Hello Ajay, I think there are a lot of new PIP applications being processed that existing claims due for review are being given extensions. Wishing you a very happy Christmas Ajay and best wishes for 2024.
Seems to be delays all round. A relative of mine is still waiting after returning his form in April. His PIP expires in February 24. He's had two text messages acknowledging his form but that's it.
Hiya I've had similar experiences with my review. I had the support of a social prescriber when I first applied for PIP, she helped enormously, however for the review I didn't have any help! So I filled in the form as best I could, they already have the documents from my application so I just wrote everything down ( my handwriting is now really bad due to my hands swelling etc).I subsequently received a text saying they'd received it and be in touch. This was October 2022. Since then I have had two separate texts telling me its still under review and they'd be in touch if they needed more information and that I still may need an assessment by a health professional. The last text was November this year so still waiting.........!
Glad they are keeping the payments going and hope it gets sorted in the New Year, xx
Hiya,
I had the same thing, I was waiting since Dec 22 for my review, got the same texts first 2 or 3 times then the letter in October 23 extending for a year till October 24. But then received a text in November 23 to say my review would be on 14th November 23, so get yourself prepared, because it could be very soon in the New Year. My assessment was by video, not to bad ,my outcome kept my same rate standard for both and a longer award got pip for 4 years.
Good luck 👍
I'm one of the new Claimants, applied August 7th 2023, assessment by a Professional on 8 November, advised they had completed their checks and I would hear from a case worker within 8 weeks, takes me to 8 January 2024. I think because a lot of changes to UC there are a lot of applications, I'm not one of those, not claimed anything in my life, apart from JSA on occasion, ive not been able to work for a year, no income whatsoever! Will just have to wait patiently. Glad you have a year extension.
I'm in Scotland so different system now. My PIP was due to end Sept 23, forms submitted June 23 and had zero response other than acknowledgment email tonsay they had received my forms. My car lease with motability was due to end this Friday, fortunately they have extended my lease indefinitely until my review has been done. Have had web chats twice and just say my file is in a queue waiting on a case worker. Good luck to everyone waiting x
My PIP ran out in Oct. I keep getting messages to say that they are running behind and my payments will continue until they have reviewed my application.
Thank you for this update mine has been 8 mths so far . Hoping I hear soon 🙏
