My sister in law as just started them. They have caused some mild problems like bloating and constipation. Your doctor should discuss possible problems with you before prescribing them. However, you should remember that everyone as differing experiences with medication.

I’m on them and I can honestly say I don’t know if I’m having any side effects because of the fibromyalgia I get all of the symptoms anyway 😂🙈 but the only new thing is constipation.

Ive lost 3 st in 5 months. Best thing I did. Hasn’t changed anything with fibromyalgia but I feel healthier.

I wish you lots and lots of luck on your weight loss journey! I’m sure you will do great! 😊 🙌💕

I was wondering about this too. I’ve heard some horror stories about side effects which has scared me off but I’m very interested in people’s experiences - especially if it’s positive.

The combination of being able to do less exercise combined with certain drugs that can induce weight gain is a problem for a lot of Fibros. It's not good for our physical or mental well being to be too much overweight.

You are most sensible asking for peoples actual experience of weight loss treatments before jumping in. As with any changes you make, you don't want them to make your fibro worse or start more issues for you. I wish you success.

Thanks, I suffer from Barretts Oesophagus also. I am on omeprazole for a very long time. I suffer from bloating and constipation frequently. I have very little energy to exercise.

Have you tried going gluten-free? Also, check your B12 if you have taken Omeprazole for a while, plus D, ferritin and folate. Have you ever checked your thyroid too?Karen
