I hope the shingles passes soon and you begin to feel less stressed. Does the care home offer any services or activities that you might enjoy? Hairdressing or massage or singing or meditation? Receiving gentle touch might be beneficial. Sending love and good wishes.

It might be worth asking your doctor about the anti viral treatment for shingles. I was prescribed it as I used to drive dialysis patients to hospital and, as they have reduced immunity, I couldn't work leaving the team short of drivers. The anti viral treatment was great. The spots dried up in a few days, the nerve pain diminished significantly and I was back at work quickly. It did leave me tired with a headache for a while though.

I'm sorry to hear you have shingles on top of everything else. I understand from when my dad had it, that it is extremely painful. I hope the signs of spring with all the lovely bulbs starting to appear help to lift your spirits and that you feel much better soon. Hugs

I'm so sorry to hear of your plight. I don't know if it may help you but I take Coenzyme Q10 300 mg. Once a day. It is best to take it with a meal because it is fat soluble. As we get older Coenzyme Q10 leaks from our cells. I am also 82yrs. I read in Fibromyalgia Magazine that small studies had been done using Coenzyme Q10 and it made a significant difference to the pain and fatigue. So I decided to try it. It did take about 3 months before I noticed a difference. The pain was significantly reduced I don't know about the fatigue as I have heart issues that make me fatigued. I recommended taking Coenzyme Q10 to my nephew's partner. She has been taking it for around 3 months and she has now said her pain has lessened. She is caring for my nephew who has incurable cancer so she is fatigued anyway.

Very Kind Regards,

You are certaintly going through it right now, I feel for you as I have the combo of both these conditions , I did have Shingles and it did lay me up for a few days. If your currently in full time care ?do they have a regular doctor who visits ? Sounds like you need some help and completely understand you must be beyond fed up , Sending you lots of love x
