Atrial Fibrillation/CFS/Fibromyalgia

HI all. Its been a while since I posted on here or even been on this site, but I was wondering if anyone has had the symptoms of AF alongside their diagnosis of FM/CFS?

I have a sufferer of both FM/ CFS for years, recently diagnosed properly in 2020 after years of tests and going back and forth to the docs.

Recently I bought one of them samsung galaxy active watches and kept getting the occasional AF result and the message to contact my Doctor. I have been to see the doc n it has been confirmed that I have AF.

I was wanting to ask if anyone else suffers from it since starting their FM meds or if they have been diagnosed with it along with their FM/CFS diagnosis.

I am waiting for further results to find out whether I have a thyroid problem or other conditions that can cause AF.

Hi, I was diagnosed a few months ago with Atrial Fibrillation and an Enlarged heart. It doesn't have any symptoms that I know but it is hard with Fibro deciding what are not Fibro symptoms and what are.

The danger is it can change to Arterial Fibrillation which is and can cause strokes. As I have a record of heart disease plus vascular dementia in close family, I was put on steroids, the side effects aren't much fun. Headaches, nausea and muscle aches and tiredness (which intensify Fibro pains). The latest effect is losing track of time and days, I woke up last Friday and spent the day convinced it was Monday. Good luck with your AF

Sorry to hear that you're having a bad time of it. The symptoms I have been told are the same as costochondritis, and fibromyalgia symptoms such as shortness of breath, pain in the chest, rapid heart rate or feelings of anxiety etc and fatigue. I'm at docs today for my second bout of blood tests. Just got out and my ecg was normal. I hope I get the treatment that I need as the sound of the dangers of AF don't look good.

Let me know how you get on with 2nd set of bloods. I have to wait until January for my next set

Blood tests come back normal. I'm making another appointment to the docs to discuss what happens next.
