Speech and communication difficulties

For quite some time I have had communication issues. My closest friends, partner and family have said I am giving out muddled messages. I try and rush the conversations and miss important facts out. I am also menopausal and brain fog is getting worse because I am under extreme stress too. My abuse lady has suggested Vit B12 injections for pain and brain fog. Any views on this please.

I too have a triple whammy on brain fog, from menopause, fibromyalgia and inflammatory arthritis. I am far worse when I am in a flare, or particularly stressed or anxious.I have found I need to take my time, to speak a little slower, and crucially, just concentrate on one thing at a time. I had to ask my husband to let me ' process' on thought at a time or my speech worsens and I almost stutter and 'lose' words.

I dont know if vit b12 can help, though interestingly, a blood test found I was low in b12 so I take extra strength tablets.

I am not a fan of taking supplements unless I am diagnosed as actually insufficient.

That is quite useful to know. I have detoxed from a lot of powerful medications over last 2 years and brain fog seems to be getting worse.

Menopause gives you every excuse for mental muddle. My best guess is that you will come through it, especially as you seem very aware of it. (Nasty little hormones!)

B12 is good but do check that you are not being medicated by those derived from cyanocobalamin as this is the cheapest way to get it and it comes from cyanide. Basically it is poison.

- Other B12 that you 'DO' want is from Methylcobalamin and Adenosycobalamin. You can take these by dropper but if the injections are the harmless sort of B12 then maybe consider them. It's not something the body wants to be without. I take B12 that is a dropper full under the tongue but for some people who are low on it, it is not considered enough. Find another health professional that you think you can trust to advise you or if extremely well off, maybe a Functional Medicine Practitioner, but I've not tried one personally.

The very best thing that I have encountered for brain fog is Sage Oil. Spanish Sage. It works well for me. It can, so I believe allow you to have lucid dreams which are rather nice and not nightmares. I mostly take the sort you take before meals but try what you you can find and come to your own conclusions.

Good luck coming through what you are currently going through. Trust yourself! You've got yourself on to this website. Good intuitive decision! Not muddled at all! This place is full of gentle hugs and folks who truly 'stand under' what you are feeling. Gentle hug from me. KJ
