If it works for you then it is good

I found it beneficial.

You will not know if it works until you try it.

different than other opioids.

hello I take tramadol when my fibromyalgia pain is very bad / severe. I also use this for gynaecology conditions too. It definitely helps. I am unable to drive on it though and after a few hours I feel very sick like I’m going to throw up. I also get very itchy. It’s great for taking pain away for me anyway & when you feel it working it feels like a dream, no pain.

Give it a go and see how you get on as we are all different 🤩

Unfortunately, everyone is different as to how they react to medication and whether it helps them. It made me extremely ill so had to stop it but I know several people who have said it is the only medication which has helped them. It is certainly worth a try. Good luck, I hope it helps you.x

I use tramadol but I am on a low dose 100mg per day I used to take them every day but now only when I am really really bad…..

I can't use them due to the severe itching they cause me.

Never again personally. Highly addictive and took ages to come off it properly.

I was given them after major surgery and they were the only thing that really worked although they made me very sleepy. The downside was that, being an opioid, they are highly addictive which the hospital didn't tell me. When I stopped taking them after only a week I went through bad withdrawal symptoms - very depressed and couldn't stop crying for several days. When I spoke to my Dr she said I should have stopped them without going through slow phased withdrawal with her support. It scared me that much that when I had major knee surgery I only took them occasionally when I really couldn't cope with the pain and needed help to sleep. Yes, they work well for pain relief but be very careful if you decide to stop taking them.

Hello

I take Tramadol at night to help deal with the pain and restless legs . When I have a good night's sleep I am more able to cope with what the morning will throw at me. They are a godsend 1 or 2 50g tabs.

I have severe ME and fibromyalgia and have been taking Tramadol for nearly 10 years. My dosage is 125 mg maximum daily, which I take divided into 3 doses. I take the fast relief type (zamadol melt), which can be adjusted by cutting the tablet in half. I started on a low dose of 25 mg and worked up slowly.I was concerned with potential addiction, but my GP said it was a relatively low dose and it was more important to have some quality of life. In any event I know people on anti depressants which don't work, who have been told it will take them a year to get off. So lots of drugs seem to have addictive qualities.

It is not a magic bullet but it has helped considerably. Whenever I have stopped taking it for a few weeks my pain levels havd deteriorated. Before I started it, I was suicidal with the pain. Now I still suffer, but it is manageable.

works initially then I got side effects and was told by doctor/consultant to stop taking it. Also effectiveness wears off after a while as you get used to it.
