Hiya.. I find everyone experience is different when it comes to the pain clinic..but I find useful.. I can't take lots of medicine due to an intorlence and a platelet disorder.. So they are my only lifeline..x
Some useful experience at healthunlocked.com/painconc...
Hi Crackers,
As claralove has said I think every Pain Clinc is very different, according to how they have set them up.......my experience was a very positive one, initially with an appointment with a pain management specialist. I then attended a 12 week course which included help from a phycologist to help one come to terms
with the emotional change. Then the physiotherapists helped with exercises that can help, learning how to pace oneself is of course a huge part of the whole process.
I really hope you find your experience as helpful as I did mine, and do come back and let us know how you get on with it 😀😀
Sending you lots of positive and soothing vibes 😊😊
Foggy x
Thank you, Foggy for responding. I will certainly let you sll know how I get on. I may not be starting till after Christmas as the service is very busy.x
hi there i attended this course and found it a waste of time, it may be something you may get something from it, all i got apart from being bored to death and more pain leaving than when i arrived. but that's my view of it you may find it better than i did. nice talking to you again take care your friend Alan
I have been referred to the pain clinic to they think I need to see physiotherapist because I am putting on weight cos of this medication I'm on. How about you?
I have not been to a pain management clinic myself but I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with yours.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
