Changes with Pip.

DWP state that any changes should be notified to them. However having said that it's not the diagnosis that entitles you to the award it is how it affects your daily living and mobility. If your mobility or ability for daily living has worsened then you will probably need to fill in yet another review form. Please contact the HU benefits advice, or Turn to Us or Benefits and Work or Scope or one of the many charities particularly familiar with changes in personal circumstances around PIP claims. Hope this helps
Thanks for your reply.I'll contact one of the organisations you've mentioned.Been putting it off as haven't got the energy but know I should do something. Thanks for your advice.
I would say definitely get someone to help as I’m sure whenever you change anything they ask you to do the whole thing again. ( no wonder they have a constant backlog)
Hi. Was hoping could just be informing them of any changes and sending proof. Thanks for your reply.
God how simple it would be if they let you do that it’s like they are making work for themselves but I think it is also to put you off. Good luck.
Hi Curlysue
I have severe grade 4 osteoarthritis of my right hip and informed the DWP last year of a change in my mobility. I had to complete a change of circumstances form
I sent a lot of evidence to support my claim ie scan results/ x Rays. A&E visits
Wheelchair assessment form etc. I described how my limited mobility affected and impacted on my daily activities of living.
I was awarded mobility without a telephone or face to face interview.
Hope this helps.
i have notified them of changes they called me a liar and said that nothing had changed, i had the covid vaccine, never had covid, but the vaccine sent my chronic fatigue off the scale and left me only being able to do about 10 minutes a day of normal daily activity. i also have a full spine mri that i dont think they have taken into account either, and i saw a consultant last year who said that my chronic fatigue was now severe chronic fatigue and that i need to rest a lot and this needed to be lying down, but i am allegedly a liar.
i also heard a report that the assessors at that time had been told that they had got to reject 65% of their daily assessments and that included ones who qualified for PIP. so, dont hold your breath
Hello Curlysue.I am so sorry about your horrible experience.
I too filled in all the required forms, had my assessment and was rejected twice. I decided to push through and complain to the courts. I started the court process and whilst I was waiting for the court hearing date I got a letter out of the blue stating that the DWP was going to look at my claim again and that they had made an error in their assessments. I think if you have the energy please keep trying and you will prevail. I know it us not easy but you need the money to get some assistance in your day. Good luck to you!
