You need to ask for an MR, and also a copy of the report from the person who you had f2f with. You must request this or else you cannot appeal to the tribunal. Do not wait for the report to come, but ask by telephone, and get the person you speak to name, and then, you can follow up with a letter confirming who you spoke to and when, and again stating you would like to appeal. It is a long process, and they will try to wear you down, so good luck and keep us posted of your progress.
Thank you I have asked for a copy of the report which will be good to look through.
It’s taken soo long to get to this point I’m not surprised it will be harder in the next stage. I was off work last time when I put in for it which made a difference as I could spend my time doing it and resting after.
Get a copy of your f2f assessment. I have just sent my own MR off. When you ring ask for a 14 day extension. Normally you have 28 days from the date on the decision letter to get your MR returned. When writing your MR concentrate only on the issues that will gain points from the descriptors. There were many things wrong with my report but the danger is that if you concentrate on all the issues then the things that could gain you points gets lost in the mass of information. You can download the assessors guide!Ines off the UK/Gov website. Part 2 is the bit that will interest you. I wrote in my MR quoting the quidelines and pointed out that the assessor had not followed them. For example she stated I could walk between 20 and 50m and awarded me 10 points. Yes I can walk 50 m but not without stopping, not without pain and I would not be able to do it again as many times as I would reasonably want to. By their own guidelines I should have been given the higher award of 12 points as I should have been defined as only being able to walk between 1 and 20m.
Umm I can’t remember off the top of my head. It does say on the gov website. I think standard rate is £20ish a week, higher rate u can then apply for motobikity which is what I need now.
Thank you Ajay. Can I ask another question. If you're not working what else are you entitled to. Do they give you any money to pay rent or mortgage? £ 61 is only enough for food. It wouldn't cover my mortgage or bills. 😥
