I've only been waiting 4 1/2 years, Blooming Covid-19 Had taken it's toll on our NHS,
Obviously there were people needing so much more than me of course,
So now my brain is split, Woohoo I can get rid of the last tomb stones and get measured for my new gnashers, When every thing has calmed I am having some cucumber and apple π₯π₯πππ
So the question to be asked
If you couldn't or cant eat solids at the moment, What food would you eat 1st ???

Iβm sure I speak for everyone when I say we will all keep everything virtually (has to be virtually as in reality fibro would cause us pain if we actually did it !) crossed for you! We all wish you lots of love and luck.
I had some invasive dental surgery and all I wanted while living on slop until recovered was crispy bacon!
I've been going through a dental implant for 9 months now. This is last of this dentist. Too expensive and slow.
My go to's have been:
Soup (lots of this with crackers crumbled for carbs), gelato, applesauce, bite size cuts of peaches- they're easy to gum then swallow or just swallow which is my choice, protein drinks (flavor of choice - protein is important), peanut butter
These are what I can think of at the moment. I don't eat a large variety of foods.
Big hugs on your dental work. That's the procedure I fear the most. Having all my teeth removed. I hate dental work. This dental implant did not make me any happier about it.
It felt like someone had punch me really really hard so she gave me some numbing and waited, Every time she put the plier things in my mouth as soon as she touched the tooth I was screaming no matter how much jab went in (I didn't feel that) I have a top set of dentures I wear for appointments,I've had to learn to smile differently, but I'm a recluse anyway so nobody sees me anyway,
My Fibro won the day, It was her saying no more to me ,rather than the other way around,ππ I've been surviving on Tom soup,Semolina,Ready brek, ice cream, scrambled egg,and my fave mashed carrot and swede π
I know!!!looking forward to the last 2 out, Sounds strange but they have a total pain in my rear, πHave to then wait for healing, get π impressions done and then receive my gnashers , But......
Thank goodness Debs. I'm glad you will get them out at last. It sounds like they're causing you a lot of problems and I'm not surprised you can't wait to get rid of them. Hurray! At last! π xx π€
I had some pretty nasty dental surgery when I was 12. I could only eat soft foods for weeks. Do not use straws when your gums are healing or you will accidentally suck the scabs off of your gums.
Some foods you could eat/try are: soups, applesauce, smoothies, juice, milk, milkshakes, ice cream, frozen yogurt, yogurts, skyr, chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache, rice pudding, custard, jelly, smooth peanut butter (or other nut butters), porridge, seedless jams (you don't want to eat seeds if you have holes in your gums where they could get stuck and cause infections), shredless marmalade, nutella, cream cheese, other very soft cheeses such as fromage frais or quark, scrambled eggs, angel delight, crustless cheesecake, cooked/stewed fruit (no seeds), mashed potatoes, mashed carrot and swede, polenta, mashed banana, hummus, ice lollies, protein drinks, and/or nutrition drinks such as Nurishment or Ensure.
Sounds like a do not eat at Weight Watches,It would give them a nightmare πππππ I can clearly get back onto my weight lose being able to eat a larger and healthier range of food
