PMR treated with biologic Actemra in US. Any of you have tried this one? My doctor is inclined in me starting this medication. I was able to stop completely Prednisone, only to begin again three months later. I had normal ESR and CRP for two years. Now it’s elevated again, though not a lot. Currently on 5 mg.Dr asked to stay in 5 for next six weeks.

Opinions!? 💐

hi, doesn’t that muck around with your immune system?, making you prone to infection, I read somewhere about this, a while ago.

Hi,this is not something that would be given for someone suffering with fibromyalgia here in the UK.

From what I've read it would be only given for certain illnesses and then only for 1 year. This is what I have just read as I had never heard of this kind of treatment before.

Hi Dizzy,

I thought this too, I had to check I was still in the right group when I read this post.

This is for Polymyalgia Rheumatic not fibromyalgia, Alliswellforever has the abbreviation PMR at the beginning of the post.
