I've been like this for the last 3 days as you know. It's horrible isn't it. I've come off my crutch now though, I just feel so drained and tired 😫
I wish I could take your pain away, I really do! I'm in so much pain since the doc took my off the duloxetine so it must have been doing something for me. I have to stay like this until early September too. It's time to request my dhc next week but it states on my repeat script papers in bold that review now overdue (19.06.24).
I told him he should have just completed the review in my files but he'd booked x3 of us in at the same time that day so was rushing. I'm going to go up the practice next week and demand that the receptionist takes my request to him and he provides me with a paper copy bcoz it's definitely going to get flashed up. He comes out to greet his patients in the waiting room anyway so I'm going to sit there and grab him myself!
Take it way but definitely speak to your GP babe, it's been going on for too long now xxx
Sorry you are having such a hard time of it, I feel your pain, before we moved in to a bungalow, I use to have to go up the stairs on my bottom, same coming down, use to take for ever, if you are in council property, you may be able to get moved, on medical grounds, for a bungalow, that’s what we did, but it was more for my husband, than my disability, so I am thankful, for the move, now that I have become worse, like you, you could also ask your doctor, for a occasional therapist, who will come and access your home, and help with adaptions to help you.
Try helping hands charity, they might be able to help you move to Scotland,, if you find the right bungalow, seeing as you are privately renting, it may be easier for you, to find somewhere.
I get where ur Jon is coming from, it’s frustrating for him, he can’t help you in the way he wants to, my hubs gets the same, and he works, so sometimes, trying to push him out of the door, not literally lol, they find it hard to, when they see how much we are struggling.
Have a look at a few charities, see how much help and support you can get, and also help with money issues for the move.
Do you suffer with Chronic Fatigue? Only I have had the same problem with my legs and have waited since last September to see a physio, they are now coming to my home to see me as I can’t walk more than 20 steps before collapsing. The lady I spoke to on the phone was really nice and she said that leg pain/weak legs are a symptom of Chronic Fatigue. If you look under Chronic Fatigue on the NHS website you will see that it is. Now I’m no doctor/expert so it may be worth checking with your doctor to rule out anything else.
Hope you get things sorted, but check out some charities as they may be able to help with a move or even if they can rearrange your furniture for you.
Hi Dawn, yes it did come on suddenly, started as I said last September. I had weak legs, found walking up stairs near impossible. Then I found my legs started shaking if I stood for too long or tried to walk too far to the point when I was out with my dog at 06.30 my legs gave way and I ended up on the floor and couldn’t get up for an hour. My husband bought me a rollator with a seat so at least I could get out and also an electric wheelchair so I could go out further where I didn’t have to stop every few steps.
I have a physio coming in on Monday for the first time since September and a rheumatology appointment 20th this month too!
All I can say is bug the life out of your doctor and ask for a full blood count, also to check your iron and vit d levels, scans everything you can to rule out things and get to the bottom of things.
Let me know how you get on, I’m always available if you need to vent just message me.
