Hi all, I am having trouble with regulating my body temperature- I know this can be a symptom of fibro. It is really bad going from cold to boiling within minutes and cannot get a decent nights sleep with this added to my pain. Can anyone recommend any cooling solutions to try please πππ

advice on cooling blankets etc I am at my wits end π
I have a fan in my bedroom, couldn't sleep without it.
I got 2 sets of the cooling pad inserts for pillows. I chill them in the fridge, put 1 in my pillow and the other suits in the fridge.
It makes the pillow nice and cool, helping me fall asleep. If I wake up in the night as Iβm too warm I can change over with the cool pad in the fridge.
Not a cure but it helps!
Hi Molliesmamma,
I'm sorry you are suffering,
This π©π© Fibro does have a way of bringing all sorts up nasties and we as Fibro family warriors keep plodding away to make our lives just a little (better than none) easier for ourselves, With this beautiful sunshine,I'll look out the window but at the moment I have no desire to leave my room let alone my house (I'll get there maybe)
As my hormones are involved in the dreaded menopause with all the flushes I think I'm responsible for the earths ozone layer,π₯΅
I know it's a pet item I use, but it helps , A large cooling Mat under my body,
A large fan at the bottom of the bed,
2 smaller fans either side of the bed
Just a sheet and foot hanging out of the side,
The neck fan is proving to be very useful
When I'm cold I have the duvet (7.5 tog)rolled up on the bed
An electric blanket
A small heater which is the size of a plug on steroids,π₯Ά
If all else fails I sit in bed and moan about being too cold/hot and do some knitting
It's worth it when you get it right
Take care
Debs
I use a cool mat designed for dogsπ No need to put in the fridge or anything. It works by pressure. I have a small one inserted inside a pillow case as my head is always hot and I have one on my chair to sit on.
