Katrina will hopefully be featuring part of her fibro story on Channel 5 news tonight. We know that it is related to being off sick from work and the new proposal from the government on fit notes.

We do not have too much detail, but we are glad that someone from our community could feature. Hoping it will increase awareness of fibro.

Taking away the safety net and demonising vulnerable people who are genuinely unable to work is absolutely despicable.

GP's should be the only people involved with fit notes, to say otherwise is ludicrous and fills me with dread.

This will be another disaster if it's allowed to go ahead with the most vulnerable suffering unnecessarily.

(no politics, just opinion)

No politics sJust sheer terror and keeps me awake all night and my fibromyalgia has kicked off big time day and night. I guess I'm stressing like truck.

And the hatred towards the disabled shocked me.

💩💔💣. This country has changed😭.

Time for drinking choc and morphine cube

I wish you well sweetie hugs 🤗🤗🤗🙃Dawn 🤗🤗🤗have a good day sweetie🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hi Smilesalot, can I just ask about themorphine cube’ do you take it like…. Only example I can think of is like a sugar cube? I maybe way off on this but am intrigued xx

Hi sweetie 🙂🤗.My carer carefully measures out either 5 or 10 units of morphine mixes it with water then freezes it for 2 days then puts the cubes in a plastic box for easy reach to melt a cube with a brew or juice. Obviously the cubes are kept in my freezer until all used. I'm due a new bottle.

I had stopped the morphine but was in so much pain. Hope that helps you sweetie hugs 🤗🤗Dawn 🤗

Hello dear friend, thank you so much for letting me know the answer to my question 😁and sorry for the delay in replying…. Work 😫that’s so interesting. I have tried a morphine patch gp obviously started me on the lowest dose, sadly it didn’t help me and she didn’t suggest trying a higher amount. I had an appointment yesterday that was again cancelled at the last minute 🙈really frustrating as I really need to discuss my pain management 😔and the earliest next appointment isn’t until the 7th May, and not with dr who supports me well. I tried to also book a double appointment but as always nowadays no luck with that either. So I’m not doing very well. I am definitely going to ask to try the higher dose and 🙏that it makes a difference as I am so fed up with going on the way I am. Sorry for the moan and I really do appreciate you explaining. I don’t know what il do if the next appointment is cancelled 😡 as this keeps happening and I feel I am not getting the support I need. I hope your day has been good and that you are feeling rested and relaxed as much as you can be. Lots of 🤗🤗🤗🤗and ❤️❤️xxx

Oh sweetie that's just not fair !!!My carer emails our gp directly for most things lol. Cheeky I know but our surgery has changed so much in the last year or two. All new young gps and seeing one is impossible😠

Let's put it this way. I got in the queue for a telephone appointment but they rang me back to say I was 30th in the queue and all time for that day had been used😲 that's what it's like so carer writes now. They don't like it.

So does that mean you're always short of meds ?

It's terrible if you are 🤗😢😟🤗🤗🤗.

It's no wonder people go to the dark side🙄🙄🙄

My poor swan was attacked by a dog 🤒and is at tiggywinkles hospital 🤗🤗🤗.😭😭he lay on our lawn all yesterday but was collected at 5pm.

I'm praying he'll be ok. Diva his wife is pining.😢

Sorry got carried away lol.

Don't stop bugging ur Dr for increase in meds.

🤗🙂😊😃😄😉hugs sweetie Dawn 🤗🤗🤗🙃🤗🤗🤗

oh no 🥺😔how horrible, I really hope he is going to be alright 🙏🤞poor thing and Diva must be so sad and stressed not understanding where he is 😢please let me know how they are doing🤗I don’t blame you one bit regarding your carer emailing your surgery. It’s a case of doing whatever you can to get the best possible support and if that means doing something outside the usual way then so be it. I used to be able to email mine when it was a last resort if I wasn’t getting anywhere. Even that isn’t an option anymore 😤All the time, over the past couple of years my medication has been all over the place 🙈🙈leaves me in pain without any meds at all and I’m not just saying for a day or two which is bad enough but for weeks at a time as I can’t get through to the surgery as you say I’ve been 38 in the phone queue 😳even harder to hold on when you’re at work🫨it’s too far for me to walk to my doctors so I have to pay for a cab as no bus route. It’s an absolute nightmare! The managers at surgeries are responsible for making online appointments available and just in the past two weeks alone there hasn’t been any on there at all! What on earth is going on and what are we supposed to do is literally beyond me and all this stress on top of conditions e have is diabolical to say the least. Is it any wonder peoples blood pressure is so high🫨sorry for being all doom and gloom in this message. Please update us on your dear swans, bless you and them 🤗🤗🤗🤗xx

Just had a news update on Demon out male swan. He's in quarantine . I hope he doesn't have bird flu. So he'll be back in fourteen days of he cheers up.

It's good news so far. Thanks for asking about him😇🤗🤗.

Don't stop fighting sweetie 🙂.

Have you had Ur Covid jab yet?

I feel so depressed lately. It's getting worse by the day but this site helps a lot.

I hope you get time off the pain sweetie 🙂🤗🤗

Smashing news 😁so pleased to hear he will hopefully be home 🙌 if only you could share with Diva 🤗on the jab, I had the 3 jabs at the time and caught it 4times 🙈and was so ill with it, especially the last one. I couldn’t breathe and had to call the ambulance out. They were so good to me and thankfully I didn’t end up in hospital which as you can imagine I was so grateful for. So I’m very unsure and scared to have another although my dr has advised me to because of my health conditions. Il have to have a long hard thought about it before going ahead. So sorry that you are feeling depressed🤗🤗I suffer with it myself and anxiety too which seems to be a bit of a theme amongst us on here sadly. It’s an awful feeling to have and to go through I do hope it will lift very soon and you will be alright 🤗🤗once you have delightful Demon back safe and sound it will I hope help you 🙏🤞in so many ways. It’s been my Wednesday off work today so I had a lie in but have had a nighling headache since yesterday 🙄I think I may go and lie down for an hour and see if it shifts. 🤗🤗🤗for you and speak soon xx
