Face spasms

Recently started with a new symptom which I don't think is associated with fibromyalgia but I could be wrong, has anyone else experienced mouth drooping and facial cramping? I have made a doctors appointment to discuss this but wondered if anyone else experienced this with fibromyalgia or if it could be the start of something else?!

I have had numbness in my face and strange twitching in my chin that went on for ages. I filmed it to show my gp and he said it's Fibromyalgia x

It could be Fibro, but the nearest Ive experienced with those symptoms is Bells Palsey. It was caused by severe stress. I had a CT scan at the time to check for a mini stroke. It can last for a few weeks or even months.

Hopefully your symptoms are Fibro based, but you need to get it checked to eliminate anything serious. Dont want to scare you, but dont get fobbed off by GP conveniently putting it down to Fibro without proper investigation.

The first time it happened I was taken to hospital and had an ct and mri scan to check for a stroke but it didnt show anything.

I get twitches and numbness in my face and around my mouth on my left side. I was told it was facial tics.

it could be a form of Dystonia which causes muscle spasms I have cervical dystonia causing painful neck spasms but not a lot of GPs know about it so can take years to diagnose there is a lot more information than 15 years ago when I was diagnosed (took 3 years) I have Botox injected every 3 months into the overactive muscles. I was reading recently it can be a symptom of fibromyalgia
